Journal of Research in Sport Physiology is a free and open access international journal affiliated with the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili. This journal is quarterly published since 1401 in two languages, English (as the first language) and Persian (as the second language).
The Journal follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws.
Manuscripts submitted to this journal will undergo similarity check using iThenticate. The manuscripts will be judged based on blind review process.
Review process
In the first stage, the manuscript is reviewed by the structural and technical editor of the journal in terms of compliance with the structure of the journal's articles according to Authors' guide.
Completing the letter of commitment form of the authors and sending it along with the manuscript in this step is necessary. In the next step, the manuscript is sent to the editor-in-chief of the journal for subject approval.
Review: After the approval of the subject by the editor, the manuscript will be sent to the reviewer.
Review team of journal articles will include two professional reviewers and one methodology and statistics reviewer.
Tip: The final decision will be made for the special article sent to the review by the editor-in-chief and the opinion of the other reviewers and also the editorial team.
Admission: Admission letter of the article will be issued by the editor-in-chief after corrections and approval of the final reviewer and getting a translatable version according to the conditions of the Author's guide by language (English or Persian).
Preparation before printing: The accepted manuscript is referred to the preparation department of the journal. Having been prepared in the two relevant languages, the final version of the article will be referred to the corresponding author for approval.
Ethical considerations: Ethical approval from the secretariats of national ethics committees located in universities and research centers (Approved code of ethics) is necessary for submission of all articles except review articles, which must be declared at the end of the article with the title of "Ethical approval".
The clinical trial registration code is required to be declared for all clinical articles for submitting the article, which should appear in the research method section after mentioning the type of research.
All authors must have all the writing requirements simultaneously, as follows:
First scenario: Presentation of the research idea "or "study design" and "data collection" or "data analysis".
Second scenario: Writing a copy of the article or initial revision.
Third scenario: Approval of the final version of the article.
It is mandatory to mention any conflict of interest from the authors and reviewers of the journal.
It is necessary to mention the details related to obtaining informed consent in clinical studies in the method section of the article.
Deciding on ethical matters, including plagiarism in articles, or non-compliance with the authors' ethical principles at every stage the review of the articles will be done according to the instructions of the National Ethics Committee and COPE regulations.
Removal or opt-out process
Request for removal or opt-out before receiving acceptance by a written letter signed by all authors and stating the reason for removal or opt-out will be done after the approval of the editor of the journal.
