Abstract

This research was carried out in order to investigate the effect of playing at home on cognitive-motor performance of children aged 3 to 6 years during the corona virus. The current research was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The research samples in this study included 3 to 6 year old children from Zahedan city, who were selected based on the study entry criteria and divided into two groups of 20 people playing at home and the control group. First, children's characteristics such as height, weight and body mass index were calculated. The pre-test includes; The Lincoln-Ezeretsky test was performed on both groups, and then the control group followed a normal and daily schedule and the play group at home for 24 sessions, one day in between perceptual-motor exercises provided by the researcher to the children's families. At the end of this course, a post-test was conducted for both groups, just like the pre-test. Analysis of covariance method was used to test the hypotheses. The data was analyzed with statistical analysis software SPS version 24 at the significance level (P<0.05). The findings showed: playing at home on perceptual-motor indicators studied including; Balance, neuromuscular coordination, accuracy, strength, speed of finger movements and perceptual motor abilities of 3 to 6 year old children have a significant effect. So that perceptual-motor exercises and games at home have improved and improved the mentioned indicators in 3 to 6-year-old children.
